Presenting at the festival were Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai – Deputy Minister of Culture – Sports and Tourism; representatives from the other Ministries and Central Agencies; representatives from other provinces and cities. In Binh Duong’s side, there were Mr. Mai The Trung – Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong Committee’s Party; Mr. Vu Minh Sang – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Committee’s Party, Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Committee’s Party, Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee and the other Vice Chairmen of Binh Duong People’s Committee.
Ceramics Festival Vietnam – Binh Duong was an economic, cultural and tourism national event with large scale to mark the 65th August Revolution and The National Day (Sep 2, 1945 – Sep 2, 2010). Especially, this is a realistic activity to celebrate the 1000th Anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi (1010-2010), to honor and introduce one of the most famous Vietnamese traditional careers through centuries, to affirm ceramics position and potentials in eco-social development strategy of Viet Nam in present and future.
Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai – Deputy Minister of Culture – Sports and Tourism
In his speech, on behalf of Ministry of Culture - Sports & Tourism, Deputy Minister Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai gave the praise to ceramics craftsmen, handicraftsmen, ceramics businessmen on this occasion. Making ceramics was associated with the human being development stages in general and Vietnamese people in particular. The ancient ceramic items help us to understand more about the spirit - physical – customs - cultural life of the ancients. With talents, confidential and reactive thinking, the craftsmen contributed to recover the traditional ceramics trade villages and brought Vietnamese images out to international friends by the ceramics products.
On this occasion, the Organization Board of the Festival gave the Certificates of Merit to 33 craftsmen from 21 ceramics trade villages over the country for their contribution to the ceramics development.
