At the meeting, Mr. Chalokeporn Phalajivin informed, Vina Kraft Paper Co. Ltd. belongs to SCG Corporation, Thailand, specializing in producing papers and paper-related products, 97% of total products being consumed in Vietnam and 3% of them being exported to Japan. Currently, the factory in Binh Duong province has operated at its maximum designed capacity (225,000 tons/year). The company has completed the plan to upgrade the production capacity up to 250,000 tons per year with new production line of more than 150 million US dollars.
Through this working session, Mr. Chalokeporn Phalajivin hoped that Binh Duong province would create favorable conditions for the company to enlarge production to meet the rising demands of papers and packaging in Vietnam.
On behalf of provincial leaders, Chairman Le Thanh Cung highly appreciated the business of company in the past time, as well as good implementation of care for workers and environmental protection. With the plan of expanding production, the Province will create condition for the Company to implement the project in Binh Duong. Concurrently, Chairman also reminded the company in protecting the environment while upgrading production capacity and increasing investment.
