The team paid visits to Foster Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP II, Thu Dau Mot city), Lotte Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phu Tho Ward, Thu Dau Mot city), Han Xuong Shoes Co., Ltd. (Tan Dinh Ward, Ben Cat town) and Kaiser Vietnam Wood Industries JSC (My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat town).
Foster Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established since 2008, total employee: 12,444, in which there are 11,810 females and 634 male workers. The minimum salary is VND 2.7 million/month, the maximum is VND 60 million/month. Recently, the company has fully and effectively implemented policies and regulations. After the incident in May 13, the company allowed their workers to have 1.5 day off with salary.

Lotte Vietnam Co., Ltd. has 1,000 workers in which factory workers makes up 226 people, the rest are office workers. The company’s basic salary is VND 2,78 million/month, the highest is VND 26 million/month and the average is VND 4,376 million/month. The company strictly applies the Labor Law and other policies such as: lunch of VND 20,000 dong/worker, periodical health check-up, insurances…
Han Xuong Shoes Co., Ltd. is a 100% foreign invested company; established in 2008, total employee: 2230. The company usually holds many activities for the workers to learn more about labor law, traffic regulations, labor union law as well as timely deployed new regulations that are related to the workers’ duties and interests. In addition the enterprise’s recruitment process strictly obeys labor law on labor contract, health insurance, social insurance and working environment. Periodically it gives workers health check-up, raises salary, and annually pays the 13th salary and year-end bonus.

Kaiser Vietnam Wood Industries JSC has total employee of more than 5000 workers in which female occupies 30%, average salary ranging from VND 7-10 million/month. The company usually holds training courses for workers to enhance their skills. In the incident on May 13, for the workers’ safety, Kaiser Vietnam let them take 5 days off and also warned them not to obey bad people. It was also damaged due to the incident but now they resume their activities.

At the visit, the team took up all the suggestions related to their production submitted from enterprises after the incident as well as workers’ issues such as housing, food, insurance… After the visit, the team would hold a meeting with related departments and agencies to seek for solutions, helping the workers and enterprises.
